Directions

The start/finish locations of all routes of the 2007 Tour de Sussex are at Sandyston-Walpack School, 100 County Road 560, Layton, New Jersey, 90 minutes north-west of NYC.

Directions to the staging area from I-80:

Take I-80 to US-15 North (using exit 34B). US-15 becomes US-206 North after about 18 miles. After about 10 miles on 206, take a left onto CR-560; drive about two miles to the Sandyston-Walpack School, which will be on the right, just past the Christmas tree farm.

Private Transportation from New York City

For those who register for it by June 9th, shuttle service will be available at Manhattan's Penn Station, at 31st St. and 8th Ave., leaving at 8 a.m..

After June 9th, contact us for availability.

Carpooling may also be available. Contact us as to whether anyone has volunteered to carpool.

Public Transportation from New York City

The Tour de Sussex is accessible by NJ Transit train from Hoboken. The Layton staging area is within 20 miles of the Port Jervis train station. Check here for train schedules.

Morning trains do not leave early enough on the weekend in time for the 10 a.m. start time; therefore, this option is more for those staying overnight.

Bike permits are not required, but outbound trains Friday evening don't allow bikes onboard until off-peak hours (after 7pm).
