Donations
If you would like to donate online to LMRF, as opposed to registering to ride, go here. You will be directed to our secure donation page at Active.com, which we use for our sporting event fundraisers as well.
Over the next three years, Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal, is matching all donations 50 cents to the dollar (within a limit) to SENS research, the same beneficiary that LMRF targets. If your employer has a gift-matching program, then the ultimate effect of your donation would be four times your own net donation.
Sample calculation: A $200 donation with a 30% tax deduction is a net donation of $140. Company matching brings the $200 up to $400. Mr. Thiel's match brings the $400 up to $600 ($600/$140=4.29).
Employer gift-matching forms can be faxed to 201-656-7411.
We have received in-kind donations from the following for our fundraising event, the Tour de Sussex:
Kashi (GoLean nutritional food products)
Kerry Fulton (graphic design; Shelton, CT)
Mark Herbert (Market America web sites; Jersey City, NJ)
Birmingham Supply, Inc. (t-shirt design; Shelton, CT)
If you would like to make an in-kind donation, it would be very greatly appreciated. Please contact us here. Especially appreciated are printing services and food for ride day, but use your imagination and let us know what you have in mind.
LMRF and the scientists who rely on private contributions to be able conduct SENS research greatly appreciate your generosity. Many thanks!
